Master Mike has mentioned he liked the stat system used in Dragon Age II, which I looked at and modified with my own twist, of course. As with anything, this is all a WIP and can be changed at anytime if there are obvious flaws or dislikes with it.
Stats Strength - physical damage Dexterity - melee attack Willpower - resistance to effects Magic - magic...duh Cunning - critical chance Constitution - health Speed - movement rate Perception - ranged attack
Derived Stats Melee Attack Ranged Attack Magic Attack Defense Damage[Melee, Ranged, Magic] Damage Resistance Magic Resistance Critical Chance Fortitude
If needed, I can give the [as now] formulas used to determine all of the derived stats.

Which one would Stealth be affected by? Cause I loves me an assassin!

Probably a combination of Dexterity and Cunning

After many lengthy discussions with Herschel, I think i have a pretty good list of formulas for everything. Only minor tweaking should be needed, if any.

Alright here are the formulas as they are: Attacks = 50 + Stat X 2; Melee[Dex], Ranged[Per], Magic[Mag] This is the percentage chance you have to hit, if you fail by 1 - 10% you still get a Grazing hit, dealing 10% of the damage[rounded up] Def = 10 + Spd; Def lowers an opponent's attack chances Crit Chance = 5 + Cun X 2; Crit Multiplier = 1 + Cun/20 + Str/20[Melee] or Per/20[Ranged] or Mag/20[Magic] Damage Resistance = Con/5; Armor increases this Magic Resistance = Mag/5; Fortitude = 20 + Wil X 2; HP = 30 + Con X 2 at first; Lvl + 10 + Con each level thereafter MP = 15 + Mag X 2 at first; Lvl + 5 + Mag each level thereafter
Armor would increase your Dam Res, but lowers Spd Stats add 1/2 their total[rounded up] to damage; Str for Melee, Per for Ranged, and Mag for Magic. Right now stats ranged from 1-20. Some weapons can also have a Crit Bonus which increases the Multiple when critting with that weapon. HP and MP may look kinda low right now but I'm just plugging in numbers[DDO starts you off around close to the same so that's where I took inspiration].
