Felipe Márquez Muñoz, a disaster response specialist for the nonprofit Humane Society International/Mexico , traveled to Poland to help refugees who have fled the war in Ukraine with their animals in tow. Márquez, from Aguascalientes, is working alongside the HSI team in Krakow overseeing the production of more than 100,000 pet emergency packages to distribute to refugees in the country who need vital pet food, supplies and veterinary assistance for their animal companions. who have traveled hundreds of kilometers with them to escape the conflict. The pet packages are made possible by a generous donation from Mars, Incorporated, to HSI global.
